A glowing report on integration of the battlefield. Among the reasons cited for this attitude
was the higher rate of African-American casualties. The article goes on to say, "As of now,
integration of the armed forces has been virtually completed. Discrimination is
extremely difficult, and penalties are severe." [Emphasis added]
